LINDEX - AN EVENING AT THE THEATRE

Starting this November, my life is enriched by an exciting adventure – I’m called to be the style ambassador by Lindex and will be bringing you news about what there is in their line of products that speaks to me, thrills me and excites me.

The subject of my first post is "An Evening At The Theatre". I love visiting the theatre in dark autumn and cold winter nights. Perhaps the connection between winter and the theatre is so strong in my mind because I remember my first ever visit to the theatre because of the first snow. I came from the Drama Theatre with my parents and the streets were white.

For me, my preparations – choosing a beautiful dress, shoes and fancy accessories – is an integral part of an evening in the theatre. One can’t go without red lips, dramatic nails and light perfume. In other words, going to the theatre is a celebration! And here, before you, is my first choice from Lindex. Have a look at the Lindex web store HERE

WHY DON`T YOU ...?

PHOTO: Meisi Volt

... try, for every 20 e-mails you send, to write a letter, an old-fashioned letter, and post it!

... walk more. It simply feels great.

... use your local library. So few people do anymore.

... get eight hours of sleep, though I never do.

...keep a bucket filled with candy. Cheap, good candy. It will scranch the itch.

REVIEW: The new facial toners from Nurme Seep

The newest products of Nurme Seep, the facial toners „Rose Water“ and „Chamomile Water“ hit the shelves of the shop „My Little World“ in Tallinn two weeks ago. That is also how long I have owned both of these toners – until my daughter hid one of them in her cupboard decisively.

Different facial toners have always been my must-have products. I love to have a dose of refreshment for my face and neck handy at my computer on in my purse. A spray-on toner is a necessity in an office and a pure entertainment at home. I first took up the „Rose water“ with enthusiasm. I have always favoured the toners, soaps and perfumes based on roses. But there’s one conditon: the rose scent must not be artificial. The 100% natural facial toner by Nurme Seep is created on the basis of the Damask rose and is suitable for every type of skin. It isn’t too obtrusive or sweet but maintains a perfect balance. There is something comforting in rose water, something that gives one solace and assures us that there is a better tomorrow ahead.

The facial toner by Nurme Seep can be used both in the mornings and in the evenings, when one has to remove one’s make up. It can also be taken on the road and sprayed on the skin at every possible moment. The lightness of the bottle makes is very portable. We don’t need to read tea leaves to predict: the „Rose Water“ by Nurme Seep will be a hit and for those, who fail to be impressed by the scent of the rose, „Chamomile Water“ is at hand. There are all prerequisites – a light bottle with a slight aura of vintage, discreetly designed label and an affordable price. A 100 ml bottle costs a mere 6 euros. I like that this product is affordable to mostly everyone interested in beauty and skin care.

The „Chamomile Water“ is a modest sister of the „Rose Water“, but she mustn’t be overlooked. It’s created for a dry and sensitive skin and has a soothing effect. It is also suitable to treat pimply skin. It was the „Chamomile Water“, that my husband reached out for. He has an uncanny gift to stop at my collection of beauty products and pull out a newcomer. So, my hubby got the „Chamomile Water“, and - - - what became of my „Rose Water“? My daughter hid it in her cupboard.

If this ignited your interest, have a peek at the webshop of Nurme Seep, which you can find HERE, or take a walk to the shop „My Little World“ (Telliskivi 60 A, Tallinn, Estonia) – they are a friendly crowd and didn’t mind one bit, as I drove into the shop on my scooter.

MARY, MARY, QUITE CONTRARY

This vintage Carnegie Of London maxidress is one of my favourite - classically chic and super comfy. It reminds me one english nursery rhyme:

Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.

JACKIE & THE JEWEL JUNKIE

There`s something I must confess to you. I`m an addict. Well, a jewel junkie! Obsessed by the stuff and a tiny bit of the collectionaire even I dare say. Just got the replica of Jacqueline Kennedys starburst pin I wanted for some years. By Franklin Mint.

In this picture Jackie Kennedy wears this eighteenth-century diamond starburst-pin as a tiara-like ornament in her hair. Look, how ultra stylish she was! Jackie discovered the pin at Wartski`s, the London jeweler, during her trip there. She usually wore this pin on the bodice or waistline of an evening gown. By the way, anyone who likes Jackie, her  style and her way of living, could from time to time visit Stellarium Style. I`m going to write about Jackie soon and again.

ME AND MY BEST DATE

For years now, I have struck a deal with myself: if I am uncertain about the dress code, I always choose a striped suit. It never fails me. Sometimes I wear a shirt and a tie, sometimes I add colour with a bright top. On these moments, the striped suit is my best date.

Throughout my life, I have had four-five striped suits. That was my choice for the presentation of the OPI collection San Francisco. A suit is also comfy on a journey – whereas I wore high heels to the presentation, I wore the same suit with sneakers, as I roamed the city. The photos were taken by the fashion photographer of Moldova In Style, Julia, and the are taken in the terrace of our hotel, where the OPI Nail Bar was situated. Is’t the view simply adorable?

MANICURE IN MADRID

I have never seen so many ladies with wonderful manicue and so many nail polish in one room. Regardless of us gathering from different destinations of the world, we spoke one language – using mostly the names of OPI nail polishes.

OPI gave us – the media and bloggers – a wonderful surprise party, Nail Bar, at the ME Madrid Reina Victoria hotel, where we all enjoyed our comfortable stay. Everyone was allowed to choose her own hue from the new autumn/winter collection and the ladies were excited – it was as if the Santa had arrived in the middle of the summer, spreading his gifts – the OPI nail polishis – on the tables. I chose OPI dark blue liquid sand nail polish – "Alcatraz... "and "Wharf! Wharf! Wharf!"
